Criminal & Traffic Laws
Over 150 statutes were amended in the latest legislative session and are included in the 2019 Edition. Highlights of changes to the law include:
- Amendments to legislation pertaining to Alcohol Permits and Licenses, including allowance of the new “manufacturer’s off premises permit” which allows for promotional sale of their product at conventions, meetings, private parties, dinners etc.
- Amendments to Controlled Substance Law, including the prohibition of the prescription or dispensing of any opioid to an opioid naive patient for more than a seven day supply in a seven day period, and statute changes to require electronic prescriptions for controlled substances beginning January 1, 2021.
- Hemp, which is defined as all parts of the plant cannabis sativa l., is an agricultural product and its regulation falls under the Wyoming Department of Agriculture.
