  • Firearms: Amends and adds legislation to redefine “assault firearm” and “large capacity ammunition magazine,” and to reduce the amount of ammunition allowed in a magazine for a semi-automatic firearm from 15 bullets to 10 bullets. (P.L. 2018, c.39 amends 2C:39-1, 2C:39-3, 2C:39-12 and adds 2C:39-17, 2C:39-18, 2C:39-19 and 2C:39-20)
  • Ammunition: Amends legislation to define “armor piercing ammunition” as a projectile used in a handgun which is constructed entirely from one or a combination of tungsten alloys, steel, iron, brass, bronze, beryllium copper, or depleted uranium; or a full jacketed projectile larger than .22 caliber designed for use in a handgun, whose jacket has a weight of more than 25 percent of the total weight of the projectile. (P.L. 2018, c.38 amends 2C:39-1, 2C:39-3 and 2C:39-9)
